While Holland is most commonly used to talk about the Netherlands, ‘Holland’ is actually just a part of the Netherlands. When we Dutch talk about Holland, we mean the provinces of North and South Holland. But the Netherlands includes another ten provinces. More than 17 million people live in these provinces.

Holland is a euro country. You may bring unlimited amounts of money into Holland. Travelers’ cheques are accepted. We do advise you to bring travelers’ cheques in euros, as otherwise you will incur exchange costs. You can also use most credit cards to obtain money from an ATM.
The temperature in spring and autumn (Mar-May and Sep-Nov) generally range between 10 and 20 degrees centigrade so you will mostly wear long trousers and a long-sleeved top or shirt. On a sunny day, it can be pleasantly warm and sometimes Bermuda shorts or a skirt will do.
From the moment you arrive in Amsterdam until you leave, you will be accompanied by your dedicated tour guide who is Chinese/ Dutch-speaking.
In the Netherlands, VAT and service charges are included in your check in shops, hotels, restaurants and taxis. Tips for extra service are appreciated but not required.
